The National Association of Real Estate Appraisers (NAREA) is a Professional Organization founded in 1966, making available highly qualified real estate Appraisers for both residential and commercial properties. In addition, many members are expert witnesses, review appraisers, educators and published authors. NAREA is one of the largest Professional Associations in the United States.
With over 40 years at experience NAREA is a proven leader for representing real estate Appraisers. Our Association understands that membership is more than certification but is a constant flow of key information, appraisal leads, regulation and guideline updates, representation on local, state and national legislative issues, and much more. NAREA has earned the credibility and public trust one needs when affiliating with a professional organization.
Each NAREA member, certified as a CREA - Certified Real Estate Appraiser or CCRA - Certified Commercial Real Estate Appraiser is a state licensed and/or certified Appraiser. Members must adhere to the NAREA Code of Ethics and nationally required Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
